Voluntary Prekindergaten

VPK is a program that is under the Constitutional Amendment approved by Florida's votes in 2002 that requires a high quality prekindergaten learning opportunity for all four-year-olds in the state. This program is free for all four-year-olds and is totally voluntary. The Florida Department of Education is required to adopt performance standards for children apart of the VPK Education Program.

 

Here at Step By Step, our VPK teachers are trained and equipped with the knowledge needed to teach your child what he or she needs to enter kindergarten successfully. All of our curriculums are approved by the Early Learning Coalition of Brevard.
